About Morrey Infiniti Nissan of Coquitlam
The Morrey Auto Group began as a family business three generations ago, Sid Morrey opened the first location in the Marpole area of Vancouver, known as White Spot Service, retailing both Studebaker and Austin vehicles. In 1964 Sid was awarded Canada's first Datsun franchise and was soon joined by his twin sons, Lyle and Gary.
In 1969 the Morreys moved their Dealership to Lougheed Highway in Burnaby. Before long Datsun became Nissan and the business expanded across the street.
In 1994 the Morrey family jumped at the opportunity to expand the Nissan operation. The purchase of our Morrey Nissan of Coquitlam dealership was an excellent addition to one of the fastest growing cities in BC.
In 1997 the Morrey family acquired the tier one Luxury line of Infiniti for our Coquitlam location, giving us an extrordinary addition of vehicles to offer our valued Morrey Autogroup customers. Morrey Nissan of Coquitlam's success is one of the contributing factors that has made our Company so dependable and long standing.
Community Involvement
Gary Morrey and the Morrey Auto Group are both extremely active in the community. Whether it is Gary's continued dedication and over a decade of involvement as Director of the Association for the Mentally Handicapped or his Directorship for the Hart to Heart Foundation, the Morrey's are usually in the forefront of what's happening in the Lower Mainland. For the past 11 years Gary has been Chair on the Board of Directors for the Michael J. Fox Theatre: operating the Theatre and fundraising, such as organizing an annual Celebrity Golf Tournament. He has also helped fundraise for the Special Olympics for a number of years.
Here, at Morrey Infiniti Nissan of Coquitlam, many of our daring staff went "Bald" this June in support of the BC Children's Hospital Cancer Research.
It was a spontaneous endeavor, raising the incredible amount of just under $6,000.00 in just 2 days!!!! Thank you to all of you who helped with donations, encouragement and support.
