Exterior
Unique Design
Beautiful, yes. Bold, double yes. Armada is designed like no other full-size SUV. From the aggressive chrome grille to the bold dip near the rear door, the unique styling will attract attention on city streets and mountain passes alike.
Roof Rack
With seating for up to 7 people, it’s no wonder that the Armada has a standard roof rack (complete with 2 crossbars and tie-downs) for all of your cargo when the interior is full.
Running Boards
Whether you’re too short to make it into the amusement park ride, or over six-feet tall, the running boards can help you get in or out of your Armada. They not only look great, but provide a helpful step up when you’re loading the roof rack.
Power Rear Liftgate (with lift glass)
The convenient power rear liftgate automatically opens and closes with the touch of a button. It helps prevent the door from closing on fingers and snowboards. It also senses if an undue load is required to close the door and will cancel power operation.
Remote Key Fob
Now you can get in to the rear cargo area easily and quickly. Just click the button on your keyless remote and it will unlock the doors and roll down the front windows. It can also open the rear liftgate and activate the memory seat system, adjusting the driver’s seat, pedals and outside mirrors.
Outside Mirror Features
Armada comes equipped with dual chrome power folding heated outside mirrors with integrated turn signal indicators and puddle lamps. Conveniently placed under each of the outside mirrors, puddle lamps give you a helping hand out of your vehicle. Whenever the door opens, the light turns on to illuminate any puddles, curbs or things that go bump in the night.

Fold Flat Seats
Lots of room. Second- and third-row seats fold flat for multiple configurations. Additionally, the third-row bench seat features a 60/40 split, for greater cargo and passenger flexibility. Even the front-passenger’s seat folds down, making enough room for a ten-foot ladder, and ensuring the ultimate in versatility.
8-way Power Driver's Seat
In the midst of all that space inside the Armada cabin, you can still find a very personal fit when you get in the driver's seat. After all, it adjusts eight different ways to put you in just the right position, while mirrors and pedals link to a remote-activated Memory System.
Memory System
Instant recall. Armada’s standard Driver’s Memory System remembers where you and your partner prefer the driver’s seat. And it also brings the power pedals and power outside mirrors into your preferred position. Simply press a button on the door or access your keyless remote and watch everything move into place. Instantly.
Storage Capacity
In here, there’s room for everything. Except convention. The Armada comes equipped with a multitude of interior storage compartments and bins, like the large front centre console storage bin with a lockable lid designed specifically to hold a laptop computer or DVD player. Or, the overhead console bins that provide storage for the front-, second- and third-row passengers.
Nissan DVD Entertainment System
Nothing captures the moment over and over again like Armada’s standard Nissan DVD Entertainment System with 178 mm (7") flip-down colour monitor. Hook up your camcorder to the DVD player’s auxiliary inputs and in minutes, you’ve got your own screening room. Insert a DVD and you’re watching a movie at a drive-in. Connect your gaming system and you have a video arcade. But say you want to relax with a different source of entertainment than your rear passengers? Dual Media Playback lets you rock to your favourite band up front while the kids in back quietly watch a replay of the day’s catch, compliments of two wireless headsets and a wireless remote.
Nissan Navigation System
Everywhere is right in front of you, on your 7" color Navi screen. Enter an address, intersection or even a business phone number, and the available Nissan Navigation System will display your route on a conventional map or on the patented 3-dimensional Birdview™. But suppose it’s midnight, everyone’s craving fondue, and you haven’t a clue where to start. Navi to the rescue again. You can actually search for local restaurants, by cuisine. And look for other points of interest as well, from ATMs to ski resorts, letting you get around like a local just about anywhere*. Also featured is an Information Centre to check average fuel economy and the always important distance to empty. Plus, you can keep tabs on your engine oil, tire pressure, and more.

Information Centre
Armada's available Information Centre is a virtual rolling PDA. Here, you can program climate zones. And customize other systems as well. Get instant reports on fuel economy, driving distance, driving time, average speed, oil and oil filter maintenance, tire rotation and (the sometimes critical) distance to empty.
Bose® Audio System
Amaze your ears with the standard Bose® Audio System. Custom-tuned to accommodate details like the contour of the seats and volume of leg room, this premier system delivers near studio-quality sound with ten strategically placed speakers, including dual subwoofers. Features like an in-dash 6-CD changer, and the ability to play MP3/WMA encoded CDs (giving you up to 4.2 GB of music, or over 1000 songs) round out the experience.
Dual-zone Automatic Climate Control
You can't control gravity. You can't control nature. But you can control the weather. At least inside the cabin. Armada offers a standard Dual-zone Automatic Climate Control (ACC) and an independent system in the back with overhead console controls for easy reach. So now, everyone has a say in the temperature matter.
Driving Dynamics
317 HP 5.6-Litre V8 Engine
Numbers are powerful. Some more than others. These more than all others. Thanks to a dominating 317 HP* 5.6-Litre V8. Constructed of lightweight aluminum components for immediate response, this V8 is quick on its feet and anxious to kick out 385 lb-ft of torque. One of the roomiest SUVs on the planet, Armada easily proves size plus power is everything.
Transmission
Armada’s five-speed, floor-mounted automatic transmission offers impressive fuel economy and long driving range. And, with the advanced Tow/Haul Mode system the lower gears will hold longer for improved acceleration and enhanced braking on steep declines. Plus, the standard automatic transmission temperature gauge alerts you to any possible trouble.
Towing
Armada’s 8900-lb* (4037 kg) towing capacity makes towing a breeze. For plenty of get-up-and-go from a stop, the transmission’s Tow/Haul Mode holds lower gears longer. And compensating for all the extra large water toys, an auto-leveling rear suspension helps by providing a more level ride height and consistent ground clearance.
Fully Boxed Section Frame
When you start as an SUV instead of a truck, you can count on refinement. Beginning with a full-length, fully-boxed all-steel frame that allows for a smooth ride. The design uses laser welding and structural bonding for high torsion rigidity. Armada also has the longest regular wheelbase of any full-size SUV and a wide track for improved stance and more stable handling and cornering.
Independent Rear Suspension
To improve the quality of your ride, Armada has an exclusive double-wishbone independent rear suspension, so each wheel responds on its own to bumps, without transferring the shock to the opposite rear wheel. Furthermore, to reduce friction, help smooth out the ride, and improve response, we separated Armada’s springs from its shock absorbers.
All-Mode 4WD System
Smooth conditions. Rough conditions. Who knows what’s next? Conditions change – that’s why All-Mode does, too. The standard 4WD system is so advanced, it continuously adjusts the percentage of power distributed to the front and rear wheels to improve traction. All-Mode chooses for you, automatically switching to 4WD when the going gets tough, then switching back to 2WD for optimal efficiency when things smooth out. Inspiring split-second confidence at every mile.
Vehicle Dynamic Control (VDC)*
Vehicle Dynamic Control is so advanced, it helps you stay on your steered path if your vehicle begins to oversteer or understeer. VDC compensates by reducing engine speed and/or applying appropriate brake pressure to specific wheels.
4-wheel Limited Slip (ABLS)
Active Limited Slip senses a wheelspin of a drive wheel and automatically applies brakes to the slipping wheel(s), redirecting power to the wheel(s) with the best traction.
Safety

It includes rigorous crash testing, over 50 standard safety features on every vehicle, available advanced safety technologies, and child-safety programs like Snug Kids®. In Armada, an Advanced Airbag System, side-impact curtain airbags for all three rows, and active front-seat head restraints are just a few of the examples of our safety philosophy in action.
Nissan Advanced Airbag System (AABS)
Nissan’s Advanced Airbag System (AABS) includes dual-stage supplemental front airbags* with seat belt sensors and an occupant-classification sensor. When deployed, the inflation rate of these dual-stage airbags adjusts depending on crash severity and seat belt usage. If the front-passenger’s seat is empty, a sensor will deactivate the airbag.
Side-Curtain and Side-Impact Airbags
Standard roof-mounted side-curtain airbags* provide protection for outboard occupants in all three rows. And driver and front-passenger side-impact supplemental airbags are built into the front seats, so they move with the seats.
Rollover Sensor
Armada also comes outfitted with one of the most advanced safety features in the industry, a rollover sensor. When it detects an impending rollover, the system deploys the roof-mounted side-curtain airbags to help protect outboard occupants. These airbags remain inflated long enough to help provide enhanced protection in the event of multiple rolls.
LATCH System
Armada also features the LATCH (Lower Anchors and Tethers for CHildren) System. This system lets you secure LATCH-compatible child restraints in the second or third row without having to use seat belts or a locking clip.

Structural Safety
To call Armada indestructible would be an overstatement. But just barely. It’s rigid Zone Body construction – an all-steel frame and high-strength cabin structure reinforced with crossmembers – surrounds you, while in the front and rear are energy-absorbing side structures. These crumple zones help absorb impact energy before it reaches the passenger compartment. Hood buckling creases, on the other hand, allow the hood to buckle at predetermined points, preventing it from intruding into the passenger compartment in certain frontal impacts. Then, there are pipe-style steel side-door beams welded into every door to help protect you and your family in the event of side-impacts. Plus, an energy-absorbing steering column that compresses during certain frontal impacts to help reduce the likelihood of injury. All to give you that added dimension of safety.
Rear Sonar System
Because “in plain view” isn’t always. And that’s when standard rear sonar comes in handy. Emitting a beeping sound when obstacles are sensed up to six feet away and increasing in frequency the closer you get*.
