Unveiled at the International Auto Show in New York in 2018, the 2019 Nissan Altima is a new mid-size sedan that will feature a host of exclusive technologies, significant upgrades and even more efficient engines.
The style of the Altima takes several visual elements of the larger Maxima sedan which gives it a look that’s much sportier and more remarkable than the older generation. There is no doubt, it will not be difficult to differentiate the new Altima from the old.
Once inside, the Altima welcomes its owner in a haven of peace where it is easy to spend some quality time. The comfort of Nissan's mid-size sedan, as well as its technologies and performance have all been improved.
The 2019 Nissan Altima will now be available with all-wheel drive right out of the gate. The Nissan Altima becomes only the second mid-size sedan to offer the stability and increased safety of a four-wheel drive vehicle.
This doesn’t only improve safety when the road is slippery, it also provides a stronger ride and better performance. With the new Altima, regardless of the weather, you’ll always be safe.
Under the hood, the Altima comes standard with a 2.5-litre four-cylinder engine producing 182 horsepower and 178 lb-ft of torque.
"To develop the new 2.5L engine, we started by reviewing the basic features one by one, like the design of the combustion chamber. In the end, we get a better performance and a lower fuel consumption significantly better than the previous engine - in addition to a NVH (noise, vibration and roughness) improved and greater flexibility in the design of the front,” says José Muñoz of Nissan.
The new 2019 Nissan Altima will also benefit from a host of driver assistance technologies included in the ProPilot Assist group. A Lane Departure Prevention System with Auto Steering and an Adaptative Cruise Control with Auto Braking are just some of the technologies found in the ProPilot Assist system.
